This beautiful style has been brewed for over 500 years in the place that’s now known as the Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic, the alcohol content of a beer is more often designated by the beer’s starting gravity in degrees plato (the concentration of sugar before the beer ferments), rather than the ABV. This beer started off at 13° Plato, which yielded a 5.6% ABV beer. A 10° Plato beer, in contrast, would yield a beer of roughly 4% ABV. 

13 Degrees greets your mouth with flavors like toasted hazelnuts and dried figs, finishing with a bit of graham cracker and the zesty notes of this style’s signature Czech Saaz hops.
